  1. TrueVis VG3

Oh yeah I had shield off in the first week, the tracking on the new machines is excellent so the page won’t wander around…downfall is you have to have that sucker pretty square. Another trick is to get the knife right over the first dot and set that as your base point. I also have a chunk...
  2. TrueVis VG3

The non smart ass answer is, roll it out far enough to get to the front lip of the heater plate (assuming you took the shield off the front like everyone else, get it nice and squared up. Advance the media a bit and see if it tracks properly. The speed isn’t too big of a deal, but you...
  3. TrueVis VG3

    You hourly? Haha
  4. Overlaminate without a laminator

This is what we use, it’s cheap and a bit of a pain in the ass, but overall it’s a winner https://a.co/d/5ZgJrOS We have the 51” version
  5. Question Which material would be best for a work trailer set of decals?

We use an Avery 2903 for cheaper flat applications and an over laminate. This is a calendared laminate that works well For long term and better work Avery 1105 with 1060 laminate. Cast laminate system. Expensive, but awesome
  6. Oil for Carriage Rod?

I use gun oil on pretty much all my moving parts, seems to work well and doesn’t get a lot of crap build up
  7. How to adhere 14mm PVC letters to artificial hedge wall

I’m hoping it’s a faux foliage; I hadn’t considered it would be real
  8. How to adhere 14mm PVC letters to artificial hedge wall

This is a weird problem here haha. I’d probably pin the letters, bend the pins from the back, and glue the shit out of it with some hot glue globs. That should keep the pins from moving around too much. Assuming the letters aren’t very heavy, this may work This doesn’t seem like a long term...
  9. UV printhead left uncapped for 26 hours, and how do you deal with anxiety?

Problems come with built in features, called solutions. Whatever life throws at you, unless you’re dead, you can probably work through it. The more problems that you encounter, the more shit you know how to deal with.
  10. Suggestions decals for furnace

We just use a regular Avery adhesive vinyl roll. $150 a roll, cheap and works well for furnaces. They’re not really all that hot.
  11. Best digital print material

we use Avery 1105 with a 1060 laminate. I’m not sure about 4 or 5 years, but it is an excellent product and it’s about $700 a roll
  12. Can you use transfer tape in a laser?

You shouldn’t need transfer tape on most items, unless you’re paint filling. If you find yourself burning things and getting char, upgrade the air assist. The little fish pump they include with those units aren’t worth a shit. There are some laser masks like blaze orange that are made to be...
  13. New laser cutter cuts HDU into signs

Most definitely not. The depth would be adjusted by focus and power, not actively moving up and down. Unless you have a laser with 3D capabilities….and at that point get a CNC instead since it’s far superior for carving
  14. Need Help VG3-54 - Starvation issue?

Have you tried pausing in the middle of a print to let the dampers refill? I had a similar problem and it ended up being a bad head. One of the procedures I was walked through was to check for starvation. I think it holds 11ml so it’s quite a bit. After my head was replaced then all was well.
  15. Recommendation for a new print cut machine

Roland has some nice deals now on their new resin printers, they’re about 15k with 3 sets of ink. Downfall is its print only machine. If you need the cut then check out the VG3 or grab an older VG2
