You can also click on the numbers in the very left column and hold CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple variable data entries and they show up blue when selected as per the attached screenshot.

This definitely works for me, please see attached screen shot I changed the font globally from what its meant to look like on the right to what it looks like on the left in about 3 clicks!

You can select all of the variable data entries in versaworks and then change the attributes and it changes them all.
