I was wondering if it would be difficult to create a world map with all of our members locations shown on it? Is there a program for this sorta thing? Just thought it would be cool to see! I need to look at a globe to see where are friends across the pond live, I keep thinking U.K. is in Lexington. :o)

Sunny runs the one at Signforums which I thought was very clever. Not sure if it's Javascript or something else. Perhaps she or anyone from Signforums familiar with it would be willing to share that information.

Hope she does not mind but she got it from http://www.bravenet.com/webtools/guestmap/index.php

Mark, the one Scott mentioned is one that is available but carries with it popups, popunders and other forms of objectionable advertising. In looking at the map as shown at Signforums.com .....

1. There are popups and popunders appearing.
2. A noticeably small number of members there have used it.
3. Most registrants here have never filled in their location which would then appear with any post they make.

I personally like to know where people are from, but evidently most folks don't care or have some objection. I think we should pass on this one for now.

Yes, I got mine from Bravenet. It only cost me 50 bucks to have one with no popups and will hold 1000 pins.
But then when it came time for renewal, they wanted 99 bucks to renew! I don't have that kind of funds floating around, so I haven't renewed. It's suppose to revert back to the free type, on the 14th, but so far, it hasn't.... I probably just jinxed myself now!

Here is another one you might be interested in.

Sunny, it did when I looked at it again today. Banner ad and popups.

Thanks for the lead on this other one.

How long have you had it up? The current version was only showing one member in the entire UK.

Like I said, I jinxed myself!
It's reverted back to the free one.
There is a back button in the upper left hand corner that will show more than what is listed.
The paid version didn not have popups.
I got this last Dec. It had over 350 pins before it reverted.

I have some friends that have a small forum using BraveNet freeware. It's an absolute nightmare to go to and I end up having to run Ad-Aware after visiting. Typically I'll end up with 50 or more spy files after using it.

no fred there are more members. i think you have arrow keys to take you to either the next page or the last page. personally i would like to see them all on one page but when you get all those dots over the screen it looks as if the world has been hit by the plague:biggrin:
