Can I combine layers into one? Can I disable layers?

The layers don't seem to work very well for me. I use them all the time in Illustrator and Photoshop and love them. But I'm not liking Omega's.

From the layer tree you can select the objects, right click and Move to, or Copy to a new layer, or another layer.

You can also, select from the tree and click and drag objects to other layers.

Again from the layer tree you can lock the layer or hide the layer.
