Mimaki Jv3 Question

I am having a slight problem with printing on translucent vinyl. I have tried to run out this job a number of times with the same outcome....A rainbow effect in the lettering. I have changed the heat settings a number of times and it is not helping. There are large streaks running the opposite direction of my print head. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks for all your help!

Do you have a picture of these prints your doing, Try doing a mild head wash.
The main thing I think it would be cause by to much heat

See if you have it on uni-directional and not bi-directional. I get that streaky look on bi-directional.

You shouldn't be getting any streaking on either print modes

they don't line up with the pinch rollers do they?

I think the uni-or Bi comment is valid too... if momentum carries the ink drops a little ahead of where the carriage was when it fired... then every other pass has printing microscopically off in the opposite direction of the last pass. This could create slight evidence of this fact in some images.
