I need to glue a 6" addition onto a 4x8 sheet and cut a 54x83 oval. What is the best kind of glue to use which will stand up to the sandblasting and not be too noticable?:signs101:

Use Gorilla Glue, don't put a ton on or it will foam out the edges and make more work for you. Put a thin layer on both edges and clamp. This is what we use if we need to glue HDU.

We use Elmer's Ultimate Glue (it has a big blue bull on the bottle)--it used to be called Probond. It's awesome!

Gorilla Glue or PB Bond from Coastal Enterprises is urethane glue, a very similar formula to the HDU itself. It has the advantage of gap filling as it expands so you don't need a perfect machined finish on the two surfaces to be glued.
I rigged up a custom wood base for my hand router that has a nice large gap through the middle so I can use a one inch straight bit set flush to the board and route off the expanded squeeze out. Gorilla Glue & PB bond will stick to almost anything so lay down some wax paper under your seam.
These glues sandblast at a similar rate as the hdu so you don't get as hard a line of glue protruding up like you do with epoxy.
These glues depend on water to start the curing process. Wood contains plenty of moisture to set the glue off, but hdu does not. It is highly recommended to apply a healthy thin layer of the glue on one panel, and mist the other panel with water. You'll get a much better bond.
Because of this, you'll extend the shelf life of these glues by squeezing as much of the air out of the bottle as you can. Moisture in the air will thicken the glue over time while it's on the shelf.
If you want to use it to glue two faces together, lay down a lot of weight on the panel so when the glue tries to expand, it won't push the panels apart.

west system epoxy here for most 99% and we keep some magic sculpt and magic smooth for some specific repair situations
Another vote for Gorilla glue.
