I use the double tape holder my self. The other day I was working with a big roll of double face tape. I put the roll on the top holder and it worked just great. Give this holder a try. You can also mount the double holder on the wall to hold large rolls of digital material and banners all you need is a long 3/4 pvc pole from the local hardware. since I need a pair to work, I'm assuming $38.50 is for a pair.
Mag material comes with a 4" core, as you mentioned. Your photo shows an endcap on the cores that serves as a "reducer" so the core can be centered on the 3/4" PVC pole.

You mentioned "all I need is the 3/4" PVC pole" ...so can I also assume the item comes with these reducer endcaps? a pair of 3" and a pair of 4" perhaps?

I'd like to buy a few pairs if all my assumptions are correct.

The double comes with two end pieces and two 35 inch pvc poles plus four 3 inch plastic core plugs.this makes up one unit at $38.50 plus shipping the average cost for shipping the double is $9.00 If you want two units then double that amount. whats the benefits of a double roll instead of the single?

Astours Good question. The single works great. The reason I came up with the double is signpeople ask for a holder that would hold more rolls. And we found out that the top holder is great to hold the heavy roll of magnetic material. Great place to store it until needed.
