Changing damper

Has anyone changed a damper? I have a Falcon II Outdoor. Do you need to flush the head first? What about filling the damper with ink?

Any help appreciated!

No flushing required, just remove the old one, install the new one, ink fill and a power cleaning...you should be good

A dab of cleaning fluid on the o-ring within the new damper will make it easier and safer to install.

note...if there is a"nipple" sticking up that the damper plugs down on [i.e. i have a mimaki,dont know if there same config] be careful to not twist side-to-side and crack it ,pull -push straight up and down on removal and install
