10 ft hand cut foam ,painted and airbrushed,2 pictures where taken in a dark basement so they don't do the sign justice.....it's kind of hard to read the way the pictures were taken ,but once the glue cures,i'll stand it up and snap some pics, there is green in all the holes of the gold letters

Simple, yet satisfying.

Very nice work, only I think the name needs some more contrast from the background and a juuuuust a little hair too bold, kinda hard to read off the bat.

But over all nice and clean.

the bottom layer is real wood ...stained ,the second layer is foam ,i sealed it ,painted it a tan color... then airbrushed it to look like wood grain

very nice.... what kind of foam did u use.... and if it is high density foam how did u attach it to the green stuff... whatever that is... wood or pvc?
anyhow looks very clean and pro.

the green around the lettering is one shot paint
the green panels is mdo painted ....glued to the foam and screwed through the foam into the wood, which also helps hold the foam onto the background ,by "sandwiching"the foam between 2 layers of wood

You've certainly got a knack for using the foam insulation. I assume that's what it is by seeing your other thread.
Keep up the good work..

I like what you're doing but I think the foam letters in both of your signs are too thick. It limits the amount of light inside of the letters which would help you if there were more.

Nice stuff...Change the title to "Super duper duper duper dimensional sign"

i love it,foam,s my best friend ,i use foam when carving art peices ,like tikis and what not .....then started using it with signs...it worked out.so i went with it.i don't have a big shop to sand blast cedar (plus cedar signs don't last in our climate),u can actually take lacquer thinners put it in an old paint brush or windex bottle and burn the foam .....can't tell sandblasted cedar from foam

here's 2 small ones ....the art studio sign is the first foam sign i ever did,was outside for 5 years ,inside for a few ,went through a bunch of moves too

I really like it but it does indeed lack contrast.
I would have gone with your "denture" white for the letter color.
But you could also rescue this by airbrushing in a brownish "glow" type drop shadow.
Still, it's a swell sign. I like your style.
