Looking to find a way to attach 2' x 4' ALUMINUM panels as seen in the attached diagram to light posts. They have used flags but are just not happy with them, they want something more durable and long term
Any help on attaching these or a company that may sell some hardware to attach these properly.
Let me know
Thanks
Grant

The wind will pull on these a lot. They do make these type of attachment. They are bands that go around the post ( square or round ). Can,t remember where I've seen them though. I'm sure somebody will give you that info.
The next better thing would be to weld or drill to attach. More involved though. It might be what it'll take though...

Grant, Grimco makes a nice sign bracket and a expandable cable clamp to hold it to lamp posts. We've used them a lot. They work together kind of like a belt (cable clamp) and bracket that are mated to work with each other. Clean and neat installation. (no drilling or welding required)
Google Grimco and I'll sure you'll find what you need. Ask for their catalog, too.

I think the tool you are explaining is called a band-it tool.

Grimco would be the first place I would check too.
But, before you go any further, you may want to check with the post manufacturer or an engineer to make sure the structure can handle the potential wind load.
There's nothing more embarrassing or dangerous than hanging a sign on a post and having both of them come tumbling down in a storm.
