anyone needs a pretty good dryier for there printer heres a simple fix besides forking over 1000.00 or more for a manufactured one
all you need is a uv light .in this case i chose a 750 watt one from GRAINGER SUPPLY 140.00 made an alum base and it works real good
now grainger sells a lot of different sizes/watts in this model of heater ,so you can choose what you need ...i chose 750 watt cause thats what the manufactured ones seem to be .....
on the 3m IJ 180C stuff it seems to be a bit sticky when going on the take up reel .now it dont stick together and its always laminated but with the heat assist it dries good before going on reel .
im sure theres going to be someone out there that says its "wrong" ,"not the right way" etc .....but i just put this on here to mayby help someone with the same problem and tell them that this helps the drying problems and dont see paying big bucks for a small problem noe and then ..just rying to give back a tip since i took a few from here an mayby help some..

Good idea.

I wonder if it would work better cooking it from behind instead of right on the printed surface ?? Indirect heat from behind like the unit itslf creates.

well i tried that it seemed to just make the paper hot .i mean hot! so i took er around front like the commercial manufacturered digi-driers do ,seem to work ..guess just play with it im sure theres more than one way,,hope this helps

this baby gets hot ..so put it on a base thatl decpate[sp] heat, hence the hollow alum shell i have it screwed to...have one verry nice blister on my arm .didnt take long to get away from it either..lol
