Oval 2 sided signs for bookstore

Hi everyone,
Have a bookstore that is looking for oval signs to place over the racks, what he wants is something that looks like it has been sandblasted wood signs, but that would be too expensive. Will be about 20 double sided and will have something different on each side. Oval will be about 16 inches long. Any suggestions will greatly appreciated. Time to go home!

make a print of a sand blasted sign to give it the illusion that is sand blasted. then use maybe foam board to lay the prints on. just my thought.

Printed Imitation sand-blast background with imitation raised lettering, with a bevel around text using Photoshop to acheive this result.On foam board or PVC sheeting.
