The last few days around here has brought an increased interest in magnetic vehicle signs.
I purchased a few pre-cut sets from SW, but they appear to have very little holding power. I fully expect them to fly away at highway speeds.
In your experience, what brand of magnetic sheeting has the most real-world holding power?
Also, do you fellas offer any sort of guarantee against fall off?

Most if not all vehicle magnets eventually lose their holding power, ESPECIALLY if the customer takes them off and on a lot. Have yet to run into a "preferred" one. As far as guarentee's go, we have them sign a waiver against any damages the magnet might cause with a list of precautions. No guarentee in other words (but something tells me if one of our magnets didn't stick, we'd probably redo it for little if any cost(god bless signed proofs)) Try and let the customer know what they'll be getting by keeping some samples around.

Magnet business comes with a ton of hassles. We also use a disclaimer form that the customer has to sign. Black magnet on black vehicles sometimes blisters in the sun and then pieces won't come off and ruin paint. I place no guarantee on magnets falling off. We ALWAYS attempt to sell a direct on vehicle install.
Just had a construction order a couple of sets of magnets a couple of weeks ago and now they are back wanting us to letter their truck doors directly. When they came in they said "you were right...magnets suck"
They have their place but make sure your customer knows the limitations and downfalls. AND get it in writing and signed.

I said the same thing during my first two years in business.

magnum magnetic material.
Just buy a roll... pre-cuts sound like an expense if you have freight as well.
A large mag roll will weigh a ton, but maybe you won't have to ship it like I do.
No guarantees here either.
