I'm applying vinyl to a face for a lightbox. I'm using a translucent green with a black shadow. What is the preferred method for overlaying the shadow? green on top of black or the other way around

The two should not over lap if the green is translucent.

Is this what you are looking for?

Sign Boy is correct. You need to make your shadows" without backing".

Green text with a Black shade can be difficult to pull off on a White background. If it's a medium/dark Green you should use a light color shade.

If the Black shade is a must, use a Drop Shadow with a decent relief to separate it from the Green text. It will make it more legible and fix your color trapping issue.

Thanks all. The designer did it with the shadow under the green. I don't do a lot of illuminated faces and when I saw the dark color under the light color I kinda had a feeling.

I'm glad I asked. I'm going to back the shadow off the way Sign Boy has it and let the customer know about it.
