I helped design, or finalize these digital sailboard graphics for the client to send off to Hong Kong for production runs:

http://islandsign.com/quiver.jpg

I also tweaked this design, and vectorized it for a Thailand production run of wake-surfing boards for Reefboards Hawaii (http://www.reefboardshawaii.com/page/page/2998634.htm)

I've done some cool sticker jobs on my daughters wakeboards. She rides in Austin. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_CKSTv5Ij8)

Lots of Kiteboard graphics, including a few wraps for 2 time world champ Kristin Boese (http://www.bestkiteboarding.com/core/media/media.nl?id=5622&c=446037&h=29403ce4bb319d6fed4d)

(and of course lots of surfboard graphics including my own)
..by the way, don't forget you can't sell Billibong artwork, unless you want to risk getting your equipment confiscated.

yeah i know about the logo stuff. these were just practice for some pics. it hasn't taken off like i expected with my local surf shop , but who knows?? gotta keep going. isign, what lam did you use for your prints? i noticed that regular lam was a lil slipperry, on skim boards anyway.

sailboards have a spray-on texture coat covering the graphics on the deck, & all my sailboard graphics were on the deck, not the bottom.

Kiteboards, like wakeboards, have footstraps, so the slipperyness was not a problem.

Surfboard graphics are usually printed on rice paper, which is embedded in the fiberglass, but I have done some flame work on my grandsons board deck & the surf wax does it's job of providing traction, but has also protected the graphics quite well.

Go to the manufacturers, not the end user... that's how you can start getting some serious orders.

yeah i have contacted a few skateboard companies and skim boards, some interest but no luck yet. guess i gotta keep trying. one other question, the trial ones i have done, i just printed on 3951 with lam and applied. i had a few challenges at the edges when trimming and was a little concerned about the durability of the edge. is that the way you trim it ??
my kid's skimboards look good still, thanks brett

this might be an idea also.... Thule started a site for wraps on there products.
www.thulewrap.com

They wrap roof cargo boxes, wind fairing, snow sport carriers and bike racks... i thought i was pretty cool cause they are on alot of vehicles. This might be something else you guys/gals can wrap also!

yeah, slapakiss, i saw that..in a restyling mag. pretty good idea, but i think it's just who you know and marketing it right , to get a gig like that.
