The last book I bought, I got from Dick Blick. They're local.
When I was working for others, we used to buy from Sepp too. Quality products, knowledgeable people and very good service.

I've been buying for 22 years from "Art Essentials" of New York ltd. Very professional and have every thing needed for gilding. www.artessentialsofnewyork.com

I've also bought from the gold leaf store on eBay once and had good luck.

Another vote for Art Essentials of New York.

The last gold leaf I used came from Wrights or Lyme and I found it thin in places and sometimes there were lots of little holes. I bought some on ebay and it was much nicer but the guy doesn't have it any more. Looks like I'll give Art Essentials of New York a call. Has anyone used their Canadian affiliate?

Si...the Henry Kissinger guy passed away.
:(
Sepp is good...VERY knowledgeable and they donated whenever I had meets.
Canadian Signcrafters...
Letterhead Sign Supply too.
Wright's of Lymm in the UK.
Also Pioneer and Glantz, but they just sell it and don't have much advise as to which gold is best for what use.

I got some more leaf from Wrights of Lyme and it's fine. No thin spots or holes. Cost me about $23 a book for 24k. Wasn't long getting here either. Very happy.

I didn't know that. How long ago was that Jill ? I think it was him I talked to last time I ordered. Maybe it was his wife.....They are still in business, right ?

Yes they are still in business.
Someone told me about "Henry"s passing at a meet in March.
I can't remember the guys real name but I think it may have been Arnold?
