What type of 4x4 wood post do you use when making a simple job site frame?
I just made one, the only type of 4x4 I could find was pressure treated.
I thought I braced it enough that it wouldn't warp/twist/bow, I was wrong.
The right post bowed out and pulled away from the panel about .75".
I have never had one do that before.
What type of wood do you use for temp site signs?
And where do you buy them?

Using pressure treated is the luck of the draw as far as if it will twist and/or bow. It depends on if it dries too fast, how the grain is etc. If you can find them dry before you buy them is good and if you can find the straightest grain, least knots.... Many times I will go with 6 x 6's just because of that reason. It's over kill I know. Also the longer the 4 x 4's are the more likely they are to twist.....It's a crap shoot.....Try cedar post
I never use P.T. posts for the reasons stated above. Your better off using cedar posts. You can get them at fence supply companies.
Have you condsidered using the PVC post and rail frame kit from Laminators, Inc.
