I have a customer that wants a custom sign made with a reader board at the bottom of the sign for special events. Any idea on where to get blanks like this. Should I try to make a sign with removable magnetic strips? I am drawing a blank here. They are looking for an inexpensive blank so a regular reader board sign is out.

You can still use tracking used for changeable reader boards and just make sliders from .040 alum. with events on them with vinyl. Use flip side for another event...You can only go so cheap, then you gotta say NO......

Use dry-erase vinyl! =]

You don't say whether this is for indoor or exterior? Also, is this a large sign or a small affair? Is it permanent, long-term duty, or quickie to last the tourist season? Details...my man, details.

The sign is 4x4 and will be outside. It will be permenant. I believe I have figured out what I am going to use. I and using the pronto tracking system. I looks easy enough. I am running it by the customer today.
Thanks

That's cool. But one thing to think about is this. The client always want large letters, say 6" would be large for a 48" wide sign. Well.....that means that he'd better be using short words in his message. For example: It it has to say "Transmission Tune-up Special $79.95" for example, he may not get the word transmission all on one line. Line two no problem, same for the rest of the lines.

Just something to think about.

Yeah I know I already informed the customer that the size of the sign will increase if they want the reader board. I am looking at a 72x48 now.
