I just did my first mount onto a 3'x6' Omega-Bond board. Turned out with tons of bubbles. This is my first time using this substrate.
Has anybody had any problems with these boards? (or praises)
I did a wet apply, and am using Avery 6yr Int.
should I dry apply it perhaps?

I don't think dry mounting is a solution to having less bubbles. It may be the preferred method of some that are very used to this method, but for someone less experienced they are likely to have more bubbles.......
My guess is that you didn't flood the substrate when you did wet application. You can't just use a little. You need to thoroughly flood the surface.

We use omega board all the time.. and You really have to be careful or you will get loads of bubbles..
I love omega board.. but ya have to remember.. its just like laying vinyl on vinyl...(becuase the board is actually covered with a vinyl type stuff) I think imasignr's post is correct about flooding the substrate.. Treat these installs as if you were applying vinyl to vinyl and you will do ok.

I just mounted a 2x4 dry. No good. I'll be stripping it off.
About the wet app,
When I mounted the first panel, I used a "normal" amount of water. (about the same I would if it was coroplast or aluminum. And I got quite a few bubbles. So then I thought, Maybe I needed to it super wet. So the next panel I soaked it down pretty heavy. Still had bubbles, but not as many. So basically...I dont know what Im doing wrong. I used a plastic squeege the 1st panel then tried a weber metal edge the 2nd panel thinking I needed to get a sharper push.

Flooding the surface and having a smooth/clean edge on your squeegee is key. :thumb:

If you are going to do wet installs, just get some Rapid Tac Or Splash or similar appl. fluid. You can check archives here concerning all the "weasel piss" fluids. I've had good luck with home made stuff, but never felt confident about it. ....If you must
1 \qt. water
2 caps 91% isopropyl alc.
2 drops ivory liquid dish soap
Are you wetting the Application Tape before you pull it off?
When I do wet, I wet the application tape then squeegee again wait a couple minutes then remove.
