I have a customer that wants to put a vinyl decal on there car but doesn't want to use a magnet. So I am wondering if there is a way to make a cling type base for the window and put vinyl on top of that so when they want to take it off they can. The only issue I can see iwth it is that it has to be able to go on the outside because the windows are tinted. Any ideas sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
James

I print static cling with eco solvent. It will work. If you want laminate with film.I have used Oracal 210. The optical clear, it is very thin and works also.

We've done lots of static clings on our Edge and most customers have been pleased. A few caveats however:
Static cling is nowhere near as easy to remove and put back on as magnets. The result is that customers tend to leave them on.
Static cling is much more subject to accumulating dust and grit, making reapplication a problem over time.
Static cling has a short term outdoor life ... 6 months to a year.
If not removed regularly, static cling will turn straw colored and fuse to the glass if they get a lot of sun.

You can always use the SignAd product from GMI......low tack vinyl (no residue when removed) and you can also laminate for added durabilty. Available in white and clear. Perfect for those car dealerships, etc..... I sell a good bit of this into that market ~

We print our bullet holes with ImageCal...
Gerber ImageCal removable vinyl
Need a film that sticks better than static cling, but can be removed without adhesive residue for up to 6 months? ImageCal comes in clear or white and is ideal for reverse print window applications and temporary labels, signs, and POP graphics. At 5 mils thick, it is also easier to apply than thinner 2 mil films.
Gerber InstaChange™ removable vinyl
InstaChange is ideally suited for graphics that need to be removed at some point without leaving adhesive residue on the surface it is applied to. InstaChange is a 5 mil white film with a gray adhesive for maximum hiding power when applied over existing graphics. Other removable films include Gerber InstaChange Reflective, Gerber ImageCal "R", and Convex
Hope that helps some...
