Hi everyone,
I'm looking for anyones opinions on the mutoh valujet 64" Iam looking to expand into digital printing & wraps. we have been laying out vinyl since 1999 & have experience with all size graphics jobs but my epuipment is lacking & looking to upgrade. The plan is to overhaul my whole business & replace everything computers, cutters etc.We are looking to do everything from large run decals to full wraps & want to determine if the mutoh is the way to go.Also I am looking to ugrade computers but want to know if staying with windows based or switching to mac is a better idea.Hopefully this question makes sense & any feedback will be greatly appreciated .
Thanks in advance
Sean

The VJ is a well-built, high quality machine that would meet your demands quite easily. Also, if you package with a laminator and cutter, you can do anything and everything you envision.

All of our company's customer base has had extremely high amounts of success with the VJ and with its Interweave patented technology, banding doesn't really exist on that printer. My biggest recommendation would be to align yourself with a dealer that understands color management and profiling. You'll hear lots of people on this forum preach the importance of color management so be sure you work with someone that's strong. Good luck and email me if you have any questions.

They sent me the wrong RIP (Flexi SE). We ordered it with Onyx Poster SHop, but I just found out they upgraded me to Production House! It will get here tomorrow.

It is amazing to me how important the profile settings are to the color output, even with the flexi.

I just got one a few weeks ago and It is one nice printer and fast too. It is so far ahead of my Falcon.. the VJ printed 20' x 4' perfect in the in the same time my Falcon printed a 3x6 banner on hi speed mode.

We just got a new Roland VP540. It is amazing.

We have been a Mac only operation since 1995 and have never looked back. Not a single day of computer downtime. Ironically, we had a local shop come to us several times for emergency cut jobs because their windows machines crapped out.

We have recently upgraded to Intel Macs, and it is smooth sailing. By the way you can run Windows on the new Macs, just in case you need it, but you won't.
