Don't buy Mac Mask.
HOK makes it crinkle/lift and it can leave ghosts.
The Gerber Mask is too thick and a pain to cut/weed/remove.
(the Mac knowledge is second hand from my kustom painter pal for whom I cut masks, the Gerber is from me cutting 1S masks on my 15" 4E)
He prefers when I use the Oracal 810 Oramask.
He sprays both HOK and 1S and does all those trufire things and pictorials.
It's not bad to cut or weed either. It's the color of glass etch.

thanks Jill!
I was looking at the Oracal 810S masking and will be ordering a roll as soon as the supplier opens.

As much as I don't like most of what Avery makes I have had good results with thier yellow paint mask. It is rated for solvent based paints and cuts, weeds, and comes off clean after painting with a nice clean edge.

Use the Oracal it is by far the best. I have used every paint mask on the market and the oracal is way above the rest.

I have always uses the Oracal 810 and loved it. I tried the PASK from fellers once and will never use it again, too may problems
I use Oracal 3651 or Arlon (Calon) vinyl.. works good
Glantz sells 15" and 30" paper frisket for plotters. In my opinion, it's far better than any vinyl mask on the market.
It lays down sharp edges and peels off without any problems.
Good for airbrush, roller, regular brush, spraying Matthews or automotive paints.
Just peel it off before the paint is totally dry. :thumb:
