What do you people use to soften edges after cropping out a background?

other than setting the feather radius while using the lasso tool....
is there a plugin or something were I can select the bike which has the background cropped out to soften the outer edges???

Seems like Russel Brown had a tutorial for something like that with blending hair into a background. Don't know if it's still there but you can look at http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html.
On another note, I'd select the areas of chrome that are reflecting green, take an eyedropper of that color, and >Replace Color>Adjust Fuzziness ~50>~Hue -23 or thereabouts to tame that green color so that it works better with the palette of your layout.

I ain't done yet...but I was struggling with getting the hue just right...

You can make a duplicate layer of the bike and add a slight gausin blur to it (the one in the back)
Try it, might be a simple fix.
