I have a customer who moved into a building with big lighted signs. He wants to use these, but they need new panels. The signs in them now are vacuum fromed. I would think new lexan panels, but never worked with lighted signs before. The biggest problem I see is the size. The main sign is about 19 ft long and about 40 in tall. What would be the best material to use and where to get it from?

It would have to be Lexan, or perhaps a flex face if you wanted to go through the hassle of retrofitting the cabinet. Lexan comes on a roll, so you just order x amount of feet from a wholesaler and cut to fit you just want flat faces. Double faced cabinets need to be at least 8" or better yet 12" wide or the lamps will be visible. It may be hard to find a supplier that can make a formed face 19' long. Anything over 12' in my region is made in two pieces. Watch out for shipping costs.

Look online as well, you may find something closer to your location.
Since there is vacuum formed pan faces in the sign now, it's proberly best not to use flat Lexan. The cabinets for these signs are too narrow and if you use flat plastic you'll see the lamps when the sign is lit.
This company should be able to help www.signpanfaces.com
