I promised Jessica I would take some pictures for her when we painted the signs they did for me & got them installed.

I sold our Mayors Office 6 larger 36" diameter signs blasted in 2' signfoam, & 3smaller ones for their podiums. Since I wanted to have the help of a sub on this job due to an overlaod of work, I decided to try out a signs101 sponsor.

First, I had Blueridge Fabrication just make me one 36" sign & an 18" one for my own use as a sample, which I also used to get our paint colors approved, and to sort of offer the Mayor's office a chance to revise any of my design decisions when I converted their old fuzzy black and white .jpg file into a nice 7 color county Seal with 2 stage blasting.

The first 2 signs came out great, so I ordered the other 8 signs as soon as I got approval from the Mayors office. My employee Jeff did all the painting & I came up with some hardware to hang the signs from the ceiling, since they didn't want holes in their Koa paneling.

Here's a few pics:

The signs look great. What is 2 stage blasting? I would also like to know what something like that sells for.

By "2-stage blasting" I mean that I requested Blueridge Fabrication to give me sufficient depth in the blasting around the rope border, lettering, and the sun so it has some nice depth & dimension...

...but on the detail of ridges, valleys and the lava flow at the base of the mountain, I didn't want to blast as deep because it would be harder to get paint in there, & harder for my client to clean dust out of there, so they blasted everything shallow, then masked over that area, then blasted the second stage to give greater depth elsewhere.

Great job on painting these, Doug--they really look great! I couldn't wait to see what they would look like once they were finished. We enjoyed working with you on this project.
