This is one I took down. It was for, believe it or not, a wedding shop. Yep, you could pick out your wedding gown right here folks. The inside of the shop smelled like an old ashtray. Can't imagine why it went out of business.
It doesn't show well in the photo, but that smudgy looking stuff on the sign is glitter. Try not to look directly at it for very long...I lost sleep for a few days....

Was it made from a basketball backboard? Talk about recycling and saving a buck!

First thing I thought when I saw it -- BACKBOARD.

Gotta admire resourcefulness!

Now dammit that was one of my best signs.
So what if I used a backboard? I have also used ironing boards for signs.
I had to quit the wedding biz because the nicotine from my cigs kept turning the bridal gowns orange.
And that is not glitter, I bedazzled it.
I also have a resale shop and do poodle grooming on the side.
And I still have time to make signs.
Love.....Jill

Oooo! An ironing board would make a great sign. Especially for a bridal boutique/smoke shop.

I had to sit there and stare at it for like...20 seconds before I could even try to make out what it said.

One Upon a Time...the owner of that store downed a bottle of Jack and picked up a paintbrush...and made themselves and brand identity =O

That should be mounted on a wall somewhere. Like tragedies of the past, such design concepts should never be forgotten lest they should resurface once again.
