Looking for a used one or information on a sheet metal corner rounder good for up to .080 aluminum. Most of the ones I've seen are only good for like .040. Thanks!

I think you'll find that the only way to die cut round corners in .080" aluminum is with a powered machine. I went looking for a simple punch a while back to punch slots into license places and came up empty for any kind of manual device. The reason explained to me was that more force was required than could be reasonable applied with a manual force only.

BUMMER! So, I take it you just have it done when you buy the blanks, assuming that you had a full sheet cut up? You have a shear, though, don't you?

I have a 54" shear that's rated for up to .065" (I think). We pretty much just use 040" for everything we cut in house and stock .080" and 1/8" in 18" x 12" size. Other sizes we order as needed from Grimco and others whose service is more than adequate.
I bought a sheet of .065" once and the difference in force required to cut it on the shear as compared to .040" was standing on the foot pedal and jumping up and down vs. one foot only and with only moderate force needed.

I have a floor model that will cut .080 aluminum and up to 6mm pvc or 4mm DiBond. There is a foot pedal that provides enough leverage to make the cut.
I post this only to show you it can physically be done. Unfortunately, I've had it for decades and don't know where to get another one.

Do you do a lot of .080 corner rounding? If not, check with a heating and ventilating company in your area to see if they have a corner rounder and would be willing to round your corners.

I don't do a lot, I was just hoping to find something for when I do it. Looks like I'll just continue to outsource for now...

Do a search for a "Lassco Model 60"
(I think that is it - I am not at the shop)
Lassco makes many differant corner rounders, including floor models,
to look at.
I have one of these and round 0.080" aluminum regularly with it.
I would not want to use this one all day long but 30 - 50 blanks a
week it is just fine.
If you can not find I will post more info when I get to the shop.
(Grimco might even carry this one??)

DANG! Didn't realize one of that capacity was gonna be $700. I was hoping for more like $250 or so (which the lighter duty ones are and less). I don't do NEAR enough volume to justify $700 for one. But, thanks for the info, that is the one. Maybe I can find a used one somewhere...tried ebay but no Model 60's right now.
