I have used contour cuts out of Corel & Illustrator done the way it is described in your Versaworks manual and they always cut and never print. Also use Contout Cut out of Flexi and Versaworks recognizes that one too. How are you creating the Contour Cuts and in what program? Also are you selecting "Print & Cut" in Versaworks?

If you are using illustrator, also make sure that in the eps options the box for "convert stroke to outline" is UN-checked. I may be wrong on the verbage there but it's something like that. You should see the little dancing ants line in the versa preview windows...if they aren't dancing and it looks like a normal line then something is not set right.

Is the stroke of your cut line named 'CutContour'? It must also be a Spot color, not process color.
Tell us what software you're designing the file in.

If youre designing in Illy you gotta make sure there is no transparency issues. I.E drop shadows & and varying opacity levels. Make sure you flatten the artwork or export the art as a jpeg, then drop it in a new file with he cut path on top of it. If you dont see the ants somethings wrong

Thanks for the replys, We are using Corel. We are making the cut lines with the hairline out line and using the default (pink) color. But for some reason its printing the pink. We are quite new to this and must be doing something wrong. Thanks again for any help. Is there any other way to make cutlines other then the outline tool.

as mentioned before, make sure your custom outline color is named CutContour. I believe it is also necessary to capitalize the "C"s. Also, be sure the "convert spot colors to process" box is unchecked in your advanced eps settings in Corel. I'm fairly certain that the contour color needs to remain as a spot color.
