Late night inconvenience

The site has been having a continuing problem with excessive server loads that goes back even to before upgrading to our current server. Our server management contractor has recommended that we periodically restart certain functions of the server to clear things out that may be accumulating but are not needed.

This restart is being scheduled to happen automatically each day at 3 AM Eastern time. This will, therefore, result in a loss of service for as long as it takes. Hopefully only a few minutes each day. Our apologies to late night visitors, particularly those in the time zones to our west, for any inconvenience.

Maybe you could turn it off from 9am to 5pm so people can get some work done. :thumb: I probably spend an accumulation of 1-4 hrs a day here.
