View Full Version : J. Nguyen Banned for Selling Cracked FlexiSign

We received a report this evening from a member that he had been offered a cracked copy of FlexiSign for $200 by PM from another member known as J.Nguyen. The member was good enough to provide me with a copy of the offer so I have now banned J.Nguyen from our community. I would do more but Mr. Nguyen resides in the People's Republic of Vietnam where such theft is normal and, probably, encouraged.
I am reporting this to everyone because:
1. I want to encourage members to report such behind the scenes activities.
2. I want to discourage members from engaging in behind the scenes use of our facilities for engaging in illegal activities such as this.

Thanks Fred! Only if more forums and people would stop these thing maybe the price of such software would come down in price!

It's kinda weird if someone contacts you out of the blue to sell you something. If you'd posted something looking for it, I could see it...but never the less...good choice Fred. We all hate to pay out the cash for software, but from the other side, we all want to be paid what we're worth...developers feel the same.

Imagine this.
You buy cracked softare as offered, and the guy never sends it. Who would you complain to?
A perfect scam.

Actually, I don't believe it's a good idea to buy anything from here if you don't know them. if they are a merchant member itis a plus

I don't agree. While I certainly support our merchant members, I wouldn't - and haven't - had any qualms with doing legitimate business with others on here. I have bought equipment, supplies and products from several people and have had no problems.
Like any internet transaction, just protect yourself by having a real phone number or contact information with anyone you spend money with.
Edited to specify legitimate business.

And that was the dumbest thing he could ever do. His name is now mud because of this networking. I'd say it set a good example for any future purchasing between members.

not sure how popular the classifieds are on here, but maybe a feedback forum would help. our classifieds are huge, and the feedback forum is quickly becoming just as big. just a suggestion.

I second the vote for a feedback forum Fred.
A lot of forums have rating systems you can add to your profile, might be something to look into.

We've had reputation rating systme in place for quite a while. I have yet to figure out how it works although I've read everything they have to say about it.
Look for the balance scale icon.

Fenris, I decided to acknowledge my approval for your postings with the balance scale icon up there in the right corner.
With one innocent little "approve" click... I pushed your approval number from 62 to 68 & your prestigious green box rating from one to 6!
...but I still can't tell you what they mean :help:

As I understand it, each member has a reputation rating and reputation power. The reputation power is a reflection of the reputation and is what each members ability to add to another's reputation is based upon. There is also supposed to be a way to subtract from another member which doesn't seem to work.
That's pretty neat.
I don't get it yet, but I'm still trying to figure out the 'Ignore Button' Anyway, I'll just wait for the first person to figure out how to vote themselves more power to creep into the equation then take time to study it.

To put a member on your Ignore List, click on their name and then View Profile. At the top along with a couple of other choices is a link to put that name on your Ignore List. Posts made by members on your ignore list will not be displayed to you.

rof.. i got a bad rep.. and i didnt do nuttin.. rof.. and my momma told me reputation was everything.. pouts.
How does the program figure out what rep score to give each person.
Thanks Fred.....
Someone else explained it to me, too. I don't have anyone I want to ignore. If someone is that bad.... I want to know what they're saying behind my back. I'm probably on 1/2 of the ignore lists of everyone else, but that's Okay...... I can take it.
So, now I can put all my efforts into this 'Rep' Thingamajig'.
:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer I'm gearing up..........

Goodbye Nguyen and Goodbye Chiclets . . . !
On my last trip to Vietnam in 2005, every software title you could think of was selling for $1.00. Yes, I said it correctly $1.00. They even had the entire US law library on CD for $1.00.

Damn, a dollar.....is that like on a value menu somewhere?....lol..
If you wanted software that required a dongle. Was the dongle included or did you have to pay another buck? Friggen thieves :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm sure you can buy young children too, or pay to have people eliminated... so what was the point again?

Even that is too much to pay for something that is available for free.
