Heres a dumb question...

What is the maximum cutting area for my CE-5000-60. I am laying out a simple 1 color layout for a 18x24 Chloroplast sign. I have 24 inch vinyl. Obviously, I would like to cut these landscape, to minimize waste. But, every time I send the job, i get a "no media" error message as it runs out on the left edge....leading to MUCH more waste!

Is there a simple answer to this very simple question???

It should be in your manual, If not just do test cut lines to see how wide you can cut on your machine.

Oh, look in the manual? Good thinking.

603 mm x 50 m

What software are you cutting with? Does it allow you to "poll" your cut area? When you put your vinyl in the cutter and lower the pinch rollers it will scan the width. Then press enter and it will give you the maximum width you can cut. Or is the problem that you need to swap the file axis to better fit the cutter? On my CE3000 it will cut 23.3" max.

On a 24" roll I try to limit the max width to 23", more like 22.5" in most cases.
