Is anyone already using the MR 3D templates from DAL/MR Clipart yet? What do you think? Is designing any different than using their normal templates?

I got the software but didn't try it yet. Well once, but it looked like a lot of work.

I have a copy and was never able to get a reply from them with the password so I have not actually worked with it. I had it demonstrated to me at the Orlando Expo and understand what it does.

It is a cool product for enhancing your proposals to the client.
It adds nothing to design or production.
It only works on a small group of templates prepared for use with the application, which requires a 2D template for the layout and a matching 3D template to transfer it to. More templates will be added and available to subscribers to their internet service ... but it will be a slow process to build up a 3D library.
Hope that helps.

I never thought it was meant for a design/layout purpose. I always understood that it was just for a general presentation to give to a client in a rather fancy way as opposed to just a 2D mock-up. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks Fred, that's how I understood it. I'm looking for a better presentation to our customers. Not that it's a real selling point, because by the time we're desiging anything we've already got the job, but it would be great for those speculative situations. I think I saw on their site the other day that they have like 1400 vehicles available for the 3D stuff now.
