Sonic the hedgehog graphics

Alright i have a client who is into race cars and wants to know if i can design a sonic the hedgehog graphic about 7'x4' for both sides of his race car. How would i go about designing this because i cannot find any nice design files for this character without designing it from scratch.

Now as much as I don't approve of plagiarism or not giving credit where credit is do, I can only tell you to vectorize images and clean them up.
