Thanks guys!!

Fly I've never seen your wrap actually.. I Love the concept! It worked so well with this one because they do tree removal and we wanted to make the little smart look a little meaner!

Awesome work. They all look really great. I just started doing wraps, and I have only done one full wrap so far. When I look at these pics I REALLY hope someone comes and orders another. I wouldnt even mind working the weekend.

Great work

Specifically your designers do a fantastic job in the transition arreas... places like the hood, to front quarter panel, and rear trunk lid to rear quarter panels. Thats a critical spot that not enough designers pay attention to.

The tree one is a flawless example of that. Tricky to do, but well worth the added attention to detail.

Kudos.

There's a reason why you have so many wraps done. YOUR GOOD! I especially like that your wraps always flow....regardless of angle, side, corner....definitely your forte.

Do you typically purchase imagery from stock photo agencies? Where do you get your patterns, background images, etc? Or do you custom make these? The Smart car has alot of textures and images and was wondering about your sources

Thanks guys! We use a combination of stock photography, and we sometimes use a background image as a base but modify it quite drastically. Sometimes we have 3 or 4 textures integrated into the background with various techniques applied to them.

We find that texture adds so much impact to the design. Just a little something in the background gives it a different feel then flat colours. THOUGH flat colours do work in quite a few instances.

The smart we invested far more time then we usually do into the design to come out with something that we could use in some of our marketing materials. I've never taken so much time and patience on a vehicle in the installation as well. It felt really rewarding doing a job you didn't need to rush through. It's amazing what a little time can do..

Bump.
These are outstanding examples of GREAT wrap jobs from design to installation. I was just searching for tips on Smart cars and found this old thread and thought it was worth bringing it up to the front again.

Awesome work! -inspiring too:rock-n-roll:

The chain saw around the tires is an awesome touch. How come you didn't wrap the door handles?

Now the owner just needs to ditch the bright gray hub caps and get some gun metal rims to flow nicely with the chainsaw look.

The first wrap project with the tree company is an award winner for sure. I would have had a hard time giving them the keys back..lol. Work like that is hard to let go. ;)

fantastic job in the transition arreas... places like the hood to front quarter panel, and rear trunk lid to rear quarter panels.
Kudos.

The Smart car wrap is one of the best wraps I have ever seen, it's fantastic, I'm so glad to see a design that someone actually spent time on to make sure the different panels and sides line-up and the image actually blends into the next panel.

I concur with Elwood Moose 1000%, the transitions on the Smart car are some of the best ever. Most of the the sign shop guys are so use to making graphics for single flat plane signs, they don't spend the time or have the design skills to create graphics that can be wrapped around two different planes and blend correctly, like the transition areas, the hood to front quarter panel, and rear trunk lid to rear quarter panels.

It takes more time to design and create a wrap like the "Trees Company" project, K6 media didn't just past down clip art into a vehicle template like so many do. He spent time to make sure all the panels match up, something I would like to see more of.

G R E A T J O B!
