Anyone know what fonts were popular in the 50's. The only ones I can find look like they belong on a car. Are they available now? :help:

Are you asking what actual fonts were popular or are you looking for fonts with a retro look?

Take a look at House Industries font catalog. Their fonts aren't cheap, but they're of excellent quality and definitely nail the "retro" look for a variety of periods.

I have a request for windows--restaurant--with words like
breakfast, lunch, wine etc.-- font to go along with the 50's look of the restaurant. The fonts I googled like like auto fonts and not really appropriate for window signage. I may offer them as a suggestion however.
