from the info you supplied, i'd suggest mesh banner...

they would like to have local business advertise along the fence in the outfield and they used coroplasat last year and it did not hold up well

go with the mesh banner....you can print full color on it...it's easy to attach to the fencing...and it allows air to go through it....
