multiple passes

We just got a multicam cnc router and while the trainer was here everything went smoothly, of course. Now that he's gone we're setting up a project for 4 passes but the machine is going only 1 pass. Not even just the first 1/8 in. pass it goes the whole depth. What are we missing?

You are not missing the trainer just takes time to see everything there is too see. But that is pretty funny. What software are you using?

Yes, depends on the software you use. Are you selecting the same tool that your trainer selected when he demo'ed it taking only 1/4 of the thickness per pass?

Toolpathing programs usually have a way to set the parameters of the tool you have selected (like depth per pass in your case).
