Vinyl Question

I have a customer that wants the Windows done on a truck.

they want a pale pink,
Oracal 8500 Translucent has the pale pink.

How will this show up on tinted windows?

I have used Translucent on signs but never on windows.
Am I better off putting white behind it?

i used trans red for a decal on my tinted windows, looked fine...pale pink might darken up a tad, however

In looking at the color chart, I think the translucent won't show up at all.
And layering it might look bad.
FDC (available thru Wensco (http://www.wensco.com/)) has a frosted rose #114 in their cast frosted crystal series.
It might look a little too Saturday night at the trailer park praying to the velvet Elvis though.
I have used FDC with good results.

Why don't you search for LG 6 year vinyl. They have a color called soft pink that has a pale look to it and it only run $21 for 10 yards. Just an idea instead of spending $80 on a translucent roll which you will probably never use

The customer saw the soft pink and did not like it.

maybe the gerber 220 series salmon pink. pretty close.

I Called Oracal and they are going to send me a sample. That way I can Try it and see!
