how is this printer compared to the JV33? I have a mimaki JV33 and am looking at the Roland to add to my shop. The print/cut is what i am interested in. But also wanted to know if it has a wider gamut or if its similar to the JV33.
Speed? and any other comments would be greatly appreciated -
Or if you guys recommend a different machine instead.
We do a lot of car wraps, vinyls, canvas and so forth.
thanks,
Kahea

I love our JV33 but not really sure how it compares to a Roland. Are you only getting the Roland mainly for the cutting feature?

Did you take a look at the Mimaki print and cut system? It is a JV33 with the plotter built in. The Mimaki is using the newer 8 channel head vs the Roland that uses 6 heads.(more expensive to maintain) With them both being 4 or 6 color the gamut will be similar.

we have the xc-540 works great but we have always had roland print cut systems
(sp300 and vp540) so don't know about the jv33
but we have had minimal to no problems with our roland units and the xc speed and color is great
go see a demo at a local dealer that is your best bet

4 years with my XC540 and 2 years with an sp300 before that.... Not a regret in the world...
