I'm a rightie, but I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous! :ROFLMAO:

I was born left handed but, thanks to my first grade teacher Miss James who insisted I hold the pencil in my right hand, I write and perform all my fine motor skills right handed while remaining a left handed bowler, pitcher, batter etc. I am ambidextrous at such things as hammering a nail.

Right, I shot left too.
When I was in Sign School there was one guy that was left handed. From what I understood learning to letter was tough for left handed since you were working over the
letter you just painted.

Anything non related to a computer mouse I do with my left hand. Kind of weird actually when I think about it! lol To think since I'm left handed, I would use my left hand to use the mouse?

Semi-ambidextrous, right hand dominate but some things I do better left handed.

Right-handed except for swinging, like batting, golfing, or shoveling. I did teach myself to switch-hit in grade school, which paid off in high school. I can eat left handed well enough to get by. And I taught myself to rope left-handed. It seems like every time I do a roping clinic, there is someone who is left-handed or can't transpose seeing me rope right-handed and them learning to swing a rope right handed. They can usually copy if I swing left-handed for some reason.

Interesting. I am left-handed and taught a couple 'normals' to play guitar. They all went cross-eyed until I pointed out its like looking in a mirror when I'd show them something. Then, easy sailing....

I write left handed but I do almost everything else right handed. Hammering and squeegeeing either hand is fine. I also kick left footed.

Right hand dominate. I crushed my right hand middle of my junior in high school. The rest of High School I pretty much was left handed. I can still write pretty good with my left hand. I could write the ABC's with both hands at the same time. Start from A on my left hand and Z on the right hand and meet in the middle. Was a great party trick in college. Won a lot of Beer that way. Two of my boys are righty's and one is a lefty. Which makes me happy. Gives me a reason to buy left handed golf clubs when he is older. Just to mess around with.

I am ambidextrous. My wife is left handed. She can't even pick her nose right handed. My daughters are right handed. My sons are left handed.

I'm a lefty but do most other things right handed. I can shoot a pistol either hand with the same accuracy but can only shoot a rifle or long gun left handed. I bowl, catch, bat with my right hand. I'm ALMOST ambidextrous. It's quite fun!

I write left handed but can type both handed at the same time...neat huh? I also throw lefty although I was forced to use my right hand to throw with for years. I bat, shoot, golf, bowl, kick and play guitar right handed/footed, non of which I can even attempt left. A lot of things like sqeegees, hammers, and drills I'm fine with either.

I didn't quite know how to answer. Although I write, eat, favor my left hand, there are so many things I do with my right only because that was the only way available. There WERE no left handed scissors when I was little so I learned to do it right. You righties probably don't realize how many things ARE right handed...computer mouse, architectural drafting arms, instructions to learn to knit or crochet, guitars, many pieces of sports equipment, on & on. Most of us lefties just learn to adapt!
I was an art teacher years ago. Try teaching a class room full of righties how to do calligraphy as a lefty! I do have a good tip if you are a lefty trying to teach some skill to a righty or vis-versa. I had a heck of a time learning to crochet. My grandma & my mom both tried to show me with no success. Finally in college I read that if I looked in a mirror to observe what they were doing, I could figure it out. BINGO! Why didn't I think of that!!

I enjoy switching hands back and forth as I work when someone is watching.

It drives them crazy.

my dad was a lefty while my mom was a righty.

I do most things left but somehow still manage to write with my right.

Definitely drives people nuts when I can eat with my left and write with my right. I think
that's called 'multi tasking'. hehehehe!

The advantage of this is when I'm sandblasting ... one hand gets tired - I switch to the other.

Doesn't everyone do this?

Bernie

both. like Fred a teacher made me do things with my right hand. kind of glad as it makes life easier in a lot of ways like using off the self scissors. I am not equal on both hands as I can do things like snap my fingers with the left but can't with the right. tried tennis years ago only to find out could do some moves with left and some with right but no all with either.
