Illustrator Combining similar colors paths

Is there an easy way in illustrator to combine paths of similar color. I'm trying to make a contour cut on a multi-colored design and am having problems drawing a outline around the whole print. ANy suggestions?

Since it's a contour cut, duplicate all the needed vectors, change them all to the same color and do a merge on them from the Pathfinder palette. The group that if it isn't and group your print vectors and center justify them on both axes.
