What is Pen Mode?

Hi
I'm using flexi and on my sign maker a light flashes next to a button called pen mode. However , nothing happens when I press it and it doesn't want to cut my file. Please help.

First thing I would do is check you cutter settings under the Plot/Cut (?) window. Its possible that Flexi could be sending a pen plot command to the plotter.

I know that when I go to recut an old job that was designed on an earlier version of Flexi I have to reset the cutter settings because they are all screwed up.
