I use the "get and electrician" card all the time. At least to diagnose it's truly an issue with the sign. Buys you time/money and keeps you from chasing your tail with a sign that size and a clueless customer.
I have a love/hate relationship with these types of customers. At the end of the day, even if they are picky or overly particular, they are still right and they will make you a better installer. I know that if I can make these people happy, my phone is going to be ringing off the hook. Look at...
After a while you kind of forget the ads are there, it's more of the initial shock. Some of them are things that I've already purchased in the past so I have no interest anyway. I think if they followed you around or popped up when your mouse scrolled over the add, that would be more annoying...
Are you mostly concerned about the "small town" drama? Is it mostly your customers you're worried about or the township? I'm sure your customers will be fine if you're willing to deliver. If it's the township, just tell them that you'll still be part of the chamber of commerce.
Did you edge seal with tape? Around the darker printed sections, the ink is more concentrated and it's also along the top edge which gets more of the rain/sun. Looks like it started to curl back and someone took the liberty of ripping off the peeling sections. We edge seal all window perf now...
We use QuickBooks online for our billing and I've currently been manually entering credit card info for walk in customers.
What recommendations would you all have for a CC scanner/reader that works well for QuickBooks? It doesn't have to be mobile, I just want to keep it at my desk which is...
I'm exactly in the same boat and I've actually re-watched the videos and revitalized my interest recently, then started watching FM instruction videos and it's just way too far over my head.
I've built a workflow/estimation setup in Smartsuite which is similar to smartsheet but from my...
The other thing to consider when pricing reflective is additional time to weed it. Probably a bit more wear and tear on your plotter blade and maybe even a double pass on cutting if you do that. Sometimes we do if the lettering is small.
I can imagine the printer and laminator might "stretch" the printed section a bit but how the heck would you adjust for this? Should we use the Graphtec marks that have extra marks in the center? Would that correct this?
We are generating them from FlexiSIgn (Effects/Contour Cut Mark) We then export to Versaworks and print there (profiles are much better here). When we're ready to cut, we remove the marks in flexi and let Flexi's production manager do the cutting process. So my guess is the generated marks are...
Update....So I did a registration mark offset adjustment on just this print and we adjusted it so that the first cut was fairly accurate to the letter it was cutting. This letter is towards the front of the print (the sheet we're cutting is about 36" long) As it Gets further along towards the...
Yes, we have issues with reflective from time to time but this also happens with regular material as well. For this one, I'll try some marks on regular material and see if this changes anything.
