Update...Turns out it was a bad ink cartridge. I had changed the magenta halfway through printing the smaller section and did not notice the color shift after about 6 feet. I guess it took about that much material for it to make it through the lines. Never had that problem with a cartridge...
That is the most mind boggling thing. The printheads did there alignment and I have printed some test plots, but nothing appears to be wrong. I printed a PMS color chart and compared it to an older one and the colors are identical. It almost like after 30 plus wraps, the machine forgot how to...
The heads are all new within warranty. The machine stopped printing for about 5 minutes and then I sent the rest of the wrap to print which was about 50 feet. I have never printed the gutter before, but I did try that today and it does not seem like it is helping.
I have printed about 30 wraps for one of my customers. The main color is red and burgundy. I printed one whole wrap a couple of nights ago without a problem. The following night I printed 3 sections with no problems, but when I printed the bulk of the wrap 5 minutes later, the color seems to...
Looking for something that is going to last at a rural farm. The sign will be 4' x 6' and slide into slotted 4" x 4" posts. The sign will have a routed shape. I am looking at possibly using 1/2" thick Luster Board or Nu Alum, but I am concerned that the wood edges will start to pose a...
More lines
Well it has been awhile since I posted about the issue. I have been pretty much dealing with it. However, I did notice that the lines are coming back, but now they are cyan lines. I cleaned the encoder strip in the areas where the lines were showing up and the lines seemed to...
I will definitely do the swap to see if the lines change. It's just hard to find the time to dedicate to printing something when you don't know how long is going to take. Yeah, the passes are visually shifting from 8 to 4 which seems as if that is why I am not getting 100% color.
Well, I haven't had a chance to do the data swap yet. But I am able to have success if I stop the print every 4' or so and do a soft cleaning. It is hit or miss whether I can print on Fast mode or normal mode. Today I was printing on fast mode and was able to print about 5' and then the color...
I looked at the cable carrier area and didn't hear or see anything unusual. The area had a lot of dust built up, so I cleaned it out pretty good. I tried printing a banner and everything looked good until about 6-7 feet into the eight foot banner. The I had about 6 lines and some were double...
