I have tried a few optically clear films over the years on different printers, nothing got close to lintecs, until they bring out a new one for Latex, I’ll stick to running it on my UV
Our final straw was when we had a huge fail with the alignments on a recent wall covering. -. We had to strip off the wallcovering and pay for decorators to make good and paint the wall again before running all 140m again on our Arizona.
Same file, same rip, same method on an 11 year old...
Honestly, no idea. - Our rep suggested we had stretched it by over-tensioning it on the laminator. - If you managed to get vinyl to stretch 30mm on release liner, the two would separate.
We’ve recently updated the firmware, no improvement. - I have now resorted to printing with the RMO unit...
For testing, we printed an image on our flatbed and the same file on the HP. - It steps out 6mm across less than 2m.
Across a 3.2m drop of wallcovering, its stepping out by 30mm every drop.
"The case has been escalated with HP". - Great, where does that leave us and production? - It's painful.
Another day another headache....
We've had barely any issues with tiled files for around the 6 months. - Now the past 3 jobs have needed re-printing.
The only thing we've done differently is updating the firmware. - Surely that wouldn't have an impact...
So run some manual head alignment. - OP was miles out, and replaced the 3 week old head. - This is the results. - Look ok?
I'm not 100% what to look for when it comes to the OP
Thanks will give the manual align a go.
I don’t think we can make any alterations to the generic profiles. - We have had issues in the past with optimiser, it was my first thought, the engineer seemed to be happy it was firing.
I might see if there’s a way to do a test draw on optimiser to...
So have run printhead alignment.
OMAS was replaced by an engineer within the past 4 weeks.
Print tests are showing the nozzles ok.
Below are two images from the head alignments.
The 4th image is from ramping the ink up to 140% - It's a significant improvement but will soon work its way through...
I'm looking for some advice regarding grainy prints. - Ours has completely fallen off a cliff.
I have attached an image from site of a re-printed drop. + a sample image for our MD5 profile as well as the generic vinyl profile.
We've had success with both profiles in the past. - The substrate...
