We use an Avery 2903 for cheaper flat applications and an over laminate. This is a calendared laminate that works well For long term and better work Avery 1105 with 1060 laminate. Cast laminate system. Expensive, but awesome

  4. How to adhere 14mm PVC letters to artificial hedge wall

This is a weird problem here haha. I’d probably pin the letters, bend the pins from the back, and glue the shit out of it with some hot glue globs. That should keep the pins from moving around too much. Assuming the letters aren’t very heavy, this may work This doesn’t seem like a long term...

  8. Can you use transfer tape in a laser?

You shouldn’t need transfer tape on most items, unless you’re paint filling. If you find yourself burning things and getting char, upgrade the air assist. The little fish pump they include with those units aren’t worth a shit. There are some laser masks like blaze orange that are made to be...
  9. New laser cutter cuts HDU into signs

Most definitely not. The depth would be adjusted by focus and power, not actively moving up and down. Unless you have a laser with 3D capabilities….and at that point get a CNC instead since it’s far superior for carving
  10. Need Help VG3-54 - Starvation issue?

Have you tried pausing in the middle of a print to let the dampers refill? I had a similar problem and it ended up being a bad head. One of the procedures I was walked through was to check for starvation. I think it holds 11ml so it’s quite a bit. After my head was replaced then all was well.

Itemize a “bullshit audit fee” line on your invoice. 40% extra should do it.
  14. What to check for when buying used equipment?

I just bought a LEJ-640FT from a dude out of state. I just found a local graphic company to go by and do a full test and inspection of the machine. Cost me $350. Turns out that’s who has serviced and sold it since new so they had a full history on it.

  16. Squeegee Streaks on Overlam printed Vinyl

I have this same one too, usually to get rid of the wrinkles, both side pressures need to be quite even. I made a mark on the dials as an indicator for pressure to keep them decently even. For $300 it’s pretty hard to beat and easy to mount things
