Description:
=====================================================================
ORAFOL provides Colour palettes for selected products and for
prevalent graphic programmes. Using these palettes the desired film
colours may already be selected in the design process.
Thus it is easier in later steps to reproduce your colour selection.

The palette is a powerful design tool which allows the selection and
handing on of desired colours without needing further jobtickets.
The single swatches are always sorted according to the scheme Colour
number (Product series No.), e.g.:
"020 (551)" = colour 020 of the series ORACAL 551.

Please compare the Colour numbers and the corresponding Colour names
with the optical impression of the colours on our Colour cards.
Please also use our Digital colour cards online:

Practical Information / Disclaimer:
=====================================================================
Orafol Europe GmbH does not provide any warranty or guarantee,
expressed or implied, associated with the use of these profiles,
and is not liable for any loss or damage incurred pursuant to
the use of such profiles.

The accuracy of the presented colours depends on the used hard-
and software. The colours may deviate from the original product.
Examples for the colours as references (Colour cards) are available
from your dealer.

In particular, this concerns metallic and special colours as well
as transparent films or those with a special surface structure.
However, we also provide those swatches in our palette to ensure
a complete design covering all available colours.

Technical details:
=====================================================================
ORAFOL Colour palettes are provided in the L*a*b* colour space,
alternatively in sRGB. The colour values of film colours are
calculated to comply with the colour effect at D50 light.
(D50 is the white point for most proofing methods and is best
calculated by most graphic applications.)

The white point of palette colours, however, does not depend on that
but complies with the corresponding white point of their colour space.
(for sRGB e.g. D65).

Importing colour palettes (Illustrator, Windows/OSX):
=====================================================================
The colour palette may be used for all programme versions, starting
from Illustrator CS 1.

1. Unzip the corresponding colour palette (*.ase) from the zip
   archive and save it in an appropriate file.

2. Open Illustrator and create a new document.

3. Klick on Window > Swatch Libraries >
   Other Library...

4. Navigate to the saving file of the palette and open it.

5. Ready! Now you should be able to access the swatches.

Note: Depending on the used programme version, the necessary
steps may deviate from those described here.
