Ive cleaned the head at least 5 x times and also left on a damp tissue overnight etc and done at least 5 x powerful cleans but the head is still bad

Did you check the small main board fuses? the system will still boot up but will still get errors
I had the same issue buddy and it drove me crazy i put my BN20 into the attic with this issue it could be fuses? FFC Cables damaged, encoder strip dirty marked!
