Make shure that your VersaWorks version is 4.2.1
If not, I would advise you to update it by closing VersaWorks and clicking on "Online Update" that it can be found in Start->Roland VersaWorks
If it does not work take a look at 8080 TCP port on your firewall
I dont have a SP300, but its best to...
We never bought an used ink UV printer but our from new Teckstorm Teckwin has got us more grey hair than the worst mother in law.
Everything can be worked-around but it takes time, brains and blood.
We charge more for printings with white ink. 1ltr of white ink costs the same has any other color so its only fair for that extra fee.
From my experience, when printing with full white coverage the cost of printing is higher then only printing CMYK because of the total white ink used not...
Sorry for the late reply. Not having that much time left to go around the web.
Yes we do own a i1 pro and yes we make our own profiles. Actually Im profiling our Teckwin Teckstorm once again since we've changed inks to a better ones for rigids that have low adhesivity like acrylic, aluminium...
Miltondavis,
Do you know what Mimaki inks was used to print than sample acrylic?
Also, scratch with fingernail would chip off the ink? light scratch or only with strong scratch?
Was going around Mimaki's every countrys/international websites and found this:

dayusmc, don't think! Make shure the color management is OFF when printing the test charts!
It seems to me that you are trying to hard and messing around with everything at the same time. Don't try to discover the wheel once again, just follow the correct procedures of making a color profile.
I'm confused about this topic.
Speaking about my experience the steps to profile a CMYK ink printer are:
- Print the linearization CMYK chart and read them with i1 (for example) to choose each C M Y K % for D-Max (or P-Max as some guys call it).
- Print the ink limit chart and choose the best...
Teckwin Teckstorm
we always print at 720x720 8pass uni-dir for CMYK and bi-dir for W. High-speed with 1mm to 1.2mm carrige height from substrate.
Our own profiles for each substrate of course.
Its simple to print on aluminium substrates.
You need rigid UV ink and decontaminate the substrate properly with isopropyl alcool just before printing on it.
static can be a b1tch to deal with.
To get rid of it I bought a Haug ionizing gun + power suply.
http://www.haug.de/html/toprilg_gb.html
Besides neutralizing static it blows away the dust from the substrate.
Hi,
From Caldera I only use the GrandRip+. It has a limited version of EasyMedia that allows to just make the lineralization and ink limit. After that I use a 3rd party color profiling software and then load the new profile into EasyMedia to finish the new Media.
You can get Addendum EasyMedia...
