I print on Roland and cut on Graphtec. I have a 25 year old FC4100-130 and it cuts 100x more accurately than the Roland did right off the showroom floor.
Roland printer/cutters should not be used to cut if you want your stuff cut accurately.
Hey, if you have replacement Roland parts in stock, would you happen to have a sheet panel?
I don't need the actual electronic board, just the faceplate. I spilled ink on my SP-540V and ruined it.
Thank you for the link.
Unfortunately, the video doesn't address my issue. I know how to make a gradient in Flexi, I just don't know how to print one.
I am still unable to print a gradient using two spot colors. I thought maybe it was a VersaWorks issue but I have the same problem printing...
I printed a new color chart right before I started.
It's not that the colors are off a little, they're different colors. The blue is rendered green in the gradient but only in the gradient. It prints just fine when not part of a gradient.
Roland says it's not possible to make a gradient with...
You can print black in VersaWorks by setting the color of your rectangle to BK21A (or is it BK22A?). One of them is 100% black and the other is mixed black. In VersaWorks, make sure that "Convert Spot Colors" is checked and make sure that it is still set to whichever BK2?A color is being used...
If the black ink cartridge is six years old you can bet that the pigment has coagulated. It's gel.
Throw it out and try a new one. Do a head soak, too.
Yes, it's an SP-540V.
I'm currently using "CWVR (Calendered Wrap Vinyl (ESM)."
I tried "Roland DGA GCVP" and "Generic Vinyl" profiles.
I checked "Convert Spot Color" and "Convert Special Color" and made sure "Use Spot Color Library" was checked in the "Spot Color Details" screen.
None of...
I even tried creating two new colors using the CMYK values of the Roland Spot Colors I'm trying to use and used them in my gradient and had the same issue.
I tried creating them as both BRG and CMYK and it makes no difference.
I'm baffled.
VersaWorks will not print a gradient containing light...
Well, I think I figured it out. It's not possible.
This is from the Roland support website: "You cannot create gradients using multiple spot colors. Special color gradient supports only one color."
I just did a test using two generic colors from the default color palette and it printed correctly.
Here is my test print...
The printer prints the spot color perfectly if it is not part of a gradient.
The light blue in the gradient and the light blue outline around the rectangle in the first post are both RVW-PR19h. The RVW-PR19H outline prints accurately, the RVW-PR19H in the gradient...
